The Global Head of Group Financial Reporting & Accounting will be leading the Group-wide Accounting and Financial Reporting function of the Rosen Group and will be spear-heading the Company’s financial reporting, accounting and financial compliance activities.

S/he (in the following referred to as “Head FR&A”) will provide financial reporting and accounting support to the Group and acts as strategic advisor to the CFO and the Corporate Management in Group Accounting matters. The Head of FR&A will act as a key contact to external auditors, will be defining accounting policies and procedures, will be supporting strategic initiatives and will work closely with the CFO on governance, compliance and accounting policy initiatives.

The function will create value by providing a solid foundation in accounting for the Group’s core financial processes. The Head FR&A supports the success of Rosen by being both an effective change agent, maintaining a strategic focus in combination with ensuring adequate accounting and compliance policies and procedures.

The position reports to the Chief Financial Officer of the Group and is member of the Group Finance Leadership Team (FLT).

Major Accountabilities:

  • Prepare the consolidated annual, quarterly and monthly financial statements of the Rosen Group (according to IFRS) and monitor financial audits
  • Take responsibility for the consolidation of the group companies and support the introduction of a new Group Consolidation Tool
  • Provide direction, strategic planning, and analysis to ensure adequacy of the company’s financial reporting and accounting systems
  • Advise and coordinate with senior management in setting policies and procedures to ensure accurate, and timely reporting and accounting. Own Group accounting standards and policies and the Group-wide Accounting manual
  • Optimize processes in accounting and reporting and act as point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors
  • Manage, coach and mentor global FR&A staff as the team expands. Develop global “one team approach” at Rosen Finance with a focus on Accounting and work closely with the Team around the world
  • Champion Finance governance processes (in collaboration with the Regional Finance Teams). Define group level standards
  • Support due diligence and M&A activities and other key strategic initiatives
  • Support the definition and implementation of a Group wide Finance vision and strategy as key member of the global Finance Leadership Team

Key Performance Indicators/Measures of Success:

  • Quality of group wide accounting processes and reporting systems
  • High level of reliability and act as key strategic advisor to the CFO on all accounting matters
  • Develop into a trusted person of contact for external auditors

What you will bring:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience, (Swiss) CPA and experience with an external accounting firm an asset
  • University degree in Business or Accounting
  • Strong knowledge in accounting and reporting processes and standards (IFRS). Ability to link the compliance and accounting policies to the business needs and ability to develop a solid understanding of ROSEN’s business
  • “External Accounting firm” and “Blue Chip Company” experience an asset, but fully willing to work in a fast-paced (large) mid-size company environment
  • Experience in a PE portfolio company an asset
  • Strong “can do” and “getting the job done” attitude, even with limited resources. Willing to “keep it simple” and strong attention to results
  • Positive attitude, capable, energetic, analytical
  • Can develop and run an international FR&A team
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills in a senior management environment. Can interact with external auditors, Corporate Management Team members as well as members of the Group’s audit committee of the Board
  • Expertise in organization dynamics and culture, ability to gain trust and confidence at all levels in the organization, leadership and project management experience
  • Previous experience in project accounting (“Percentage of Completion”) an asset
  • Experience with IDL consolidation an asset
  • Experience with Tagetik a significant asset
  • Strong Process Experience in Finance a significant asset
  • SAP S4 Hana Experience a significant asset
  • English: Fluent spoken and written, German speaking an asset
  • Mobility: approx. 10 % international travel
