High Voltage Product is known worldwide as a specialist in power transmission and distribution. In the local business unit of High Voltage Products, we are looking for an Operations Manager for our production site of Generator circuit-breakers (GCB) in Zurich-Oerlikon. In this challenging leadership role, you will oversee the GCB manufacturing process and supervise the production and testing team. Manufacturing excellence is in our DNA. How you will make an impact

  • Responsible for the overall work of the Operations Department of Generator circuit-breakers operating unit (GCB), reporting to the General Manager

  • Responsible for implementing, supporting, and sponsoring Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and all other business compliance standards and regulations across the GCB product line, ensuring a safe work environment, continuous improvement in HSE processes, and integrity performance

  • Responsible for executing a customer-focused Operations’ strategy for the GCB product line and support sales and project managers during customer visits by explaining the capabilities of the manufacturing facilities

  • Owns and is accountable for delivering Operational KPls in line with expectations, including on-time/on-margin project execution, effectively balancing installed capacity with customer demand and workload

  • Responsible for developing and continuously improving business processes and procedures, as well as overall customer satisfaction, effectively deploying Quality strategy for GCB

  • Accountable in defining and delivering the annual budgets for CapEx and OpEx expenses and developing programs, projects, goals, and metrics for GCB operation, integrating lean manufacturing principles in production processes

  • Accountable for operational risk management, validates and improves reliability and effectiveness of business operations and ensure its relentless execution

Your background

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field

  • Several years of experience in a similar role, supported by a solid understanding of manufacturing operations in an industrial environment

  • Experience with materials management and supply chain management would be an asset

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365

  • Strong leadership experience or clearly demonstrated leadership potential

  • Fluency in English and German. Other language skills would be an asset

  • Highly motivated with strong attention to details and accountability for the tasks

  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization

  • Strong interpersonal skills that demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and a proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders and peers
