As part of a multi-year program, the Data Warehouse (DWH) of Allianz Suisse has been expanded and modernized. Based on this modernization, professional extensions and integrations within the ecosystem are now taking place as part of agile development. Motivated and competent developers are being sought to help implement the professional extensions in the DWH. Additionally, the transformation towards Azure Cloud is also on the agenda, which will later be included in the scope of these development activities.
Overall, you plan, develop, test, and maintain software solutions in an agile team. Moreover, you will manage the technical design and the application development. This also includes support and consultation activities in the concept phase of the planned application.
What you do
- Develop software in agile teams and implement software engineering techniques and methods
- Design, development, and implementation of robust and efficient DWH solutions according to requirements
- Optimize data processing processes to ensure high performance and scalability
- Monitor and continuously improve of data quality
- Fulfill non-functional requirements of the solution, such as performance, data protection, IT security and ergonomics/usability
- Manage daily operations and resolve assigned incidents
- Create clear, accurate, and clean documentation of implemented requirements
- Collaborate closely with local solution designers, product owners, and subject matter experts
What you bring
- Meets the requirements of the Junior level
- At least 1-2 years of experience in data engineering
- Knowledge in data modeling
- Experience with ETL tools and data integration technologies
- Experience in insurance is a plus
- Technological know-how
- SQL (PL/SQL)
- Unix knowledge
- SAS knowledge is an advantage
- Knowledge and experience in managing Oracle databases, understanding architecture, storage structures, security mechanisms, and performance optimization
- Familiar with agile development methodologies
- Basic knowledge and experience with Azure Cloud highly desirable
- fluent in English and German, both spoken and written
