The Product Line Detection & Signaling offers innovative and cutting-edge detectors, signalling and supplementary products to the global fire safety ecosystem protecting life, health, and assets. It also values sustainability and technology with purpose.
As Head of Product Line Fire Detection & Signaling you will lead a distributed team accountable for the entire product lifecycle, starting from product definition, development, support until end-of-life planning. This role involves strategic planning, market analysis, product development, and cross-functional team leadership. Join our team and help us in building a better tomorrow. Your new responsibilities:
- Develop and implement product line strategy in alignment with company goals, based on understanding customer needs
- Issue growth plans in line with the overall company strategy
- Create product roadmap in alignment with country representatives and manage yearly R&D investment plan
- Oversee the product development process from concept to launch
- Define and execute the development and maintenance of product line offering
- Own the achievement of best-in-class product cost, working in strong collaboration with Supply Chain Management
- Plan product launches and supports marketing team in related marketing activities
- Foster a strong understanding of application knowhow, market drivers, competition, and future trends
- Scan technology trends and initiate innovation projects in collaboration with technology and innovation team
- Own and ensure the achievement of defined critical metrics, such as product line investments, time-to-market, and product quality
Your skills and experience:
- Degree in Engineering and an additional degree in Business Administration, or equivalent education
- Experience in product line management within the building technology industry; within the Fire Safety environment preferred
- Track record of successfully leading a product line on global level
- Experience in leading a distributed team within a global matrix organization
- Track record of successfully creating and driving strategies in complex situations
- Ability to conduct market analysis and identify trends
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency communication and presentation abilities in English and German. Any additional European language would be a plus

Location: this role will be based in Zug/Switzerland. Qualified candidates need a valid work permit for working in Switzerland. A relocation to Switzerland is not intended.
