Job Summary:
The R&D Lab Coordinator is responsible for the care and operation of our multi-million dollar, cutting edge research and development lab, located in our Burlington location.
This lab focuses on the development, testing, and support of high-speed data communications products that enable the backbone of global internet data communication and distribution.
Duties that we rely on the Lab Manager to support in this lab include asset management / testing / purchasing, calibration coordination, health, and safety system management, ESD safety management, new technology investigation, automated inventory management, and enhancements to our current processes / flows.
Please note that this is an entirely on-site position, requiring you to be in the office from Monday to Friday for a 40-hour work week.
Responsibilities:

Coordinate with external vendors for purchasing equipment and lab peripherals

Coordinate with our engineering teams to locate, rent, purchase, equipment, and peripherals required for lab testing

Lead yearly onsite and off-site calibration activities for critical R&D equipment

Maintain compliance with our ISO 14001/18001/9001 standards

Manage our fiber optic, high-speed cable/connector, lab tool/peripheral/component, chemical, and ESD PPE inventories

Manage our Indysoft calibration / asset database

Negotiate with a multidisciplinary engineering, management/lead, and customer facing staff to create lab benches for support of critical data collection

Quarterback investigations into new and emerging technologies and arrange meetings with vendors to demonstrate

Supervise and train new interns on a 16-month cycle

Using SAP, collaborate with different internal teams to procure and reserve essential components and items to meet project needs
