The Clinic of Neonatology of Lausanne which is the largest Unit in Switzerland (40 beds) opens 1 position for neonatal fellow (chefs de clinique) or consultant neonatologist (médecins praticiens hospitaliers) in November 2024 and Mai 2025, for 12 to 24 months.
Contexte
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of five Swiss university hospitals. Through its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and the EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in the areas of medical care, medical research and training.
Mission
We propose a very multifaceted neonatal fellowship, with care of >800 admissions/year, preterms and terms newborns, in and outborn, with diverse pathologies, postoperative management, participation in emergency transport, as well as antenatal consultations.
Neonatal postgraduate education is also well organized, including fetology rounds, mortality morbidity reviews, journal club and clinical cases presentations. Supervision is assured by 7 experienced certified and trained abroad neonatologists, covering topics such as neonatal neurology, nutrition, infectious disease, hemodynamics, developmental follow up, and resuscitation management with simulation programs. We apply many techniques and programs such as INSURE, LISA, MV, HFO, CPAP and BiPAP, TINEC, cerebral ultrasound, sono-guided vascular access, NIDCAP, family centered care and parents involved rounds.
We are also participating to several multicenter studies such as Safe Boosc III, Treopaca, Trop-ROP, ADONIS, EGONE, ANEAS, Heart-Brain study, to which candidates will be able to participate as well as to several research protocols either clinical or fundamental.
Profil
- For the fellowship, previous experience in NICU level III, PICU, and FMH in pediatrics is preferred or recommended
- For the consultant in Neonatology, minimum of 4 years of Neonatology level III is mandatory
- French language level B2 is mandatory.
