We seek an experienced Head of Quality Assurance and Management Technology to oversee the quality assurance and control for hardware and software products. 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with European and international standards, managing quality processes across the product lifecycle, and leading a multidisciplinary team. The role focuses primarily on product quality (hardware and software) and excludes ISO standard specialization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Compliance & Certification:

  • Issue and maintain EU Declarations of Conformity and ensure CE conformity for products.

  • Generate and manage compliance verification documentation.

  • Ensure conformity with global and regional regulatory standards, including RoHS, REACH, SVHC, POP, and PEAS

 

Quality Assurance:

  • Oversee the procurement of product approvals and serve as the contact point for test centers (TÜV, UL, CSA, BACnet, AMEV, Cybersecurity, etc.).

  • Lead internal product and process audits to identify and implement improvements.

  • Collaborate with the procurement department to ensure compliance with supplier audits, quality, and environmental contracts.

  • Address concerns related to conflict minerals and dangerous substances in products.

 

Software Quality Management:

  •  Support external software developers and testers in achieving product quality goals.

  •  Establish software validation processes, including interoperability testing and customer-oriented testing of ß-systems.

  •  Participate in standardization committees to help shape future quality guidelines.

 

Team Leadership:

  • Manage a team of 15 employees, including those involved in hardware, software, and quality control.

  • Oversee ongoing planning, maintenance, and monitoring of quality in development and production areas.

  • Ensure that quality requirements are met across product development, procurement, and production (hardware and software).

  • Work closely with quality management system leaders to implement quality and environmental objectives.

 

Continuous Improvement:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality improvements throughout the entire product lifecycle.

  • Drive synergies between hardware and software quality teams, ensuring efficient resource use and team collaboration.

 

Qualifications:

 

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.

- Proven experience in a quality management role within hardware and software industries.

- Strong knowledge of EU and international quality regulations (RoHS, REACH, CE conformity).

- Experience with product approvals and standardization bodies (TÜV, UL, CSA, BACnet, etc.).

- Leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams in a quality control or assurance environment.

- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

 

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with cybersecurity and software validation processes.

- Understanding of conflict minerals, dangerous substances in products, and global supplier management.
