Main Responsibilities:

Lead Design and Implementation of Data and Analytics initiatives within Snowflake, collaborating closely with Product Managers and stakeholders to define and prioritize the product backlog in alignment with the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring solutions effectively meet business needs.

Build data visualizations to support analytic insights: Create intuitive and insightful data visualizations using tools like PowerBI to help stakeholders understand complex data sets and derive actionable insights. This involves designing dashboards, reports, and interactive visualizations that effectively communicate key metrics and trends.

Ensure product backlog align with platform design vision, clearly articulating backlog items to stakeholders, product managers, and the scrum team. Strive for a balance between new developments, operational tasks, and bug resolutions to consistently deliver value through our data solutions.

Develop and uphold release plans for Data and Analytics enhancements in Snowflake, factoring in financial costs and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) into the planning stages. Establish realistic release objectives in cooperation with Product Managers and the delivery team, while managing dependencies across teams to align release schedules and timelines. This method ensures that financial considerations are woven into strategic planning, maximizing the impact and efficiency of our Data and Analytics enhancements.

Engage in continuous collaboration with the Scrum team and subject matter experts to refine Product Backlog Items, ensuring the team possesses the in-depth understanding required for precise estimation and planning during sprint sessions.

Maintain the integrity of Data and Analytics deliverables in Snowflake by evaluating sprint backlog items, offering constructive feedback to the scrum team, and actively participating in agile events to champion stakeholder needs effectively.

Coordinate cross-functional resources for the meticulous planning and execution of Data and Analytics Product Backlog Items in Snowflake, engaging with professionals from various departments to ensure successful sprint reviews, user acceptance testing, and the deployment of new features.

Advocate for team development and nurture a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the Data and Analytics team, promoting knowledge exchange, professional development, and teamwork to cultivate a high-performing, agile team dedicated to delivering innovative Data and Analytics solutions in Snowflake.
Key Qualifications and Experiences:

Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in management information systems/technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline. MBA or equivalent is preferred. Azure or Snowflake certification is desired.

Experience: 10+ years of experience as part of large, remote, global IT teams. 7+ years focused on development lifecycle product architecture design.

Expertise in data visualization tools, specifically PowerBI: Proficiency in using data visualization tools like PowerBI to create interactive and insightful dashboards and reports that effectively communicate complex data insights.

Snowflake Ecosystem Proficiency: 5+ years of hands-on experience in tailoring, configuring, and crafting solutions within the Snowflake environment. This includes a profound grasp of Snowflake's data warehousing capabilities, data architecture, SQL optimization for Snowflake, and leveraging Snowflake's unique features such as Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks for real-time data processing and analytics. A strong foundation in data migration strategies, performance tuning, and securing data within the Snowflake ecosystem is essential.

Snowflake Architecture Design: Demonstrated expertise in architecting solutions within the Snowflake ecosystem, adhering to best practices in data architecture and design patterns. This includes leveraging Snowflake's advanced features such as secure data sharing, stored procedures, and integration with external functions. Skilled in optimizing data workflows and enhancing user experiences by utilizing Snowflake's scalable compute and storage capabilities.

Scalability & High Availability: Proven expertise in architecting and implementing Snowflake solutions that are highly scalable and resilient, ensuring business continuity and optimal performance even under high load.

Snowflake Cloud Services Implementation: Strong track record in leveraging Snowflake’s cloud-based architecture to develop scalable and highly available services, optimizing the use of Snowflake's multi-tenant architecture for efficient resource utilization.

API and Systems Integration: Extensive experience in designing and implementing API and system integrations to ensure seamless data flow and interoperability between Snowflake and other systems and applications.

AI, Machine Learning and Data Management: Expertise in leveraging AI and ML for predictive analytics, automating processes, and enhancing decision-making, ensuring solutions are both innovative and data driven.

Data Schema Design: Expected to have hands-on experience in designing and implementing good data schemas that optimize performance and maintainability.

Agile Development with Snowflake: Profound familiarity with Agile methodologies in the context of Data and Analytics development projects, adept at managing the product backlog, user stories, sprints, and releases within the Snowflake ecosystem.

Strategic Problem Solving & Analytical Thinking: Ability to tackle complex data-related challenges with strategic foresight and analytical precision, employing data-driven decision-making to navigate and optimize Snowflake implementations for business impact.
