OBJECTIVE

The People Solutions team is accountable for most global operational HR processes leveraged by advanced technology supporting the global HR operating model. The team is driven by standardization and efficiency, developing future-focused capabilities and delivering a robust and best-in-class customer experience.
The International Mobility Lead reports to the Employee Lifecycle Management & Payroll Excellence Lead. A smooth mobility process is crucial to the overall mobile employee experience. This role holds responsibility to ensure a smooth payroll process for mobile employees including the tax and legal compliance in collaboration with the global mobility team and external parties. This role requires deep knowledge of cross-border employee movements, double taxation, and equity processes, and serves as an advisor and escalation point for international mobile employees. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure seamless mobility payroll and compliance with international laws and regulations and providing an excellent service to employees on international assignments and international transfers.
International Payroll Management:
- Support payroll processing for employees on international assignments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations, including cross-border implications.
- Collaborate with external providers and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate payroll delivery.
Compliance and Regulation:
- Stay up-to-date with international payroll laws and regulations.
- Ensure all payroll processes comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Assist in audits and ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
Employee Support:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees on international assignments and international transfers regarding payroll-related inquiries.
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding tax implications, benefits, and other payroll-related matters.
- Coordinate with HR to manage employee data and ensure smooth transitions for employees moving between locations.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement improvements in payroll/mobility processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of mobility-related policies and procedures.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for management, providing insights into payroll costs and trends.
- Analyze data to identify discrepancies and work with relevant parties to resolve issues.
- Communicate insights to stakeholders based on data.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of data in the required systems and follow-ups.
- Assist in special projects and initiatives related to global mobility and payroll. Work closely with the internal mobility team and related parties.
EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in global mobility, expatriate management, or a related field.
- Proven experience with cross-border employee management, double taxation, and equity compensation processes.
- Passion for international tax laws, double taxation treaties, and immigration regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex mobility cases.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse and senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency in HRIS and global mobility software tools.
- High level of cultural awareness and sensitivity.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic, international setting.
