SQL Developer (Commercial Excellence)
Reporting Line: Data Governance Manager
As a member of the Western Europe Commercial Excellence organization, this role will focus on supporting the business through data and analytics. You will support Incentives and Data Analytics processes, help change data into valuable insights, and provide support to other teams such as Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Senior Leadership. You will act as Authority and Expert on data-related topics (Integration, Transformation, Load)
Vital duties and responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and maintain existing databases (MS SQL)
- Design, creation, and development of new databases and repositories supporting business from a reporting perspective (incentives, commercial, and Sales-Force reports)
- Maintenance of existing and generation of new functions, stored procedures, and data models
- Design, creation, development, and optimization of ETL and ELT data processes
- Develop and implement database standards, policies, and most professional conduct practices
- Preparation of reports, presentations, dashboards, and other data visualization tools for our partners
- Supervise database performance, tackle issues, and perform root cause analysis
- Data Integration- Salesforce
- Providing data insights based on available reporting solutions
- Designing, building, and powering repositories, integrating data for reporting purposes
- Development of tools supporting the process of quality control of data collected in the repository
- Sharing the most excellent practices among other team members will supply to growing Data knowledge level within the whole Commercial Analytics organization
What are we looking for?
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Relevant Bachelor’s /Master's degree (Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering)
- Minimum 3+ years of suitable work experience, preferably in an international company with an extensive product portfolio
- Good Experience with Relational Data Base Management Systems, database design, modeling, performance tuning, profiling, optimization
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
- Solid grasp of SQL Server, Oracle, or other relational databases
- Snowflake knowledge is nice to have
- Proficiency in MS Excel (preferably including VBA knowledge)
- Analytical mentality and passion to work with large sets of data,
- Practical knowledge of Business Intelligence
- Familiarity with database security, backups, and disaster recovery
- Familiarity with Tableau, and Alteryx (non-critical, but highly valued)
- Problem-solver with a positive approach and ability to operate efficiently in a matrix structure
- Proficient in English (at the least C1 level)
- Adaptive thinking mentality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
