Program Manager ESA Center of Excellence in Materials (Scientist)

The Paul Scherrer Institute PSI is the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences within Switzerland. We perform cutting-edge research in the fields of future technologies, energy and climate, health innovation and fundamentals of nature. By performing fundamental and applied research, we work on sustainable solutions for major challenges facing society, science and economy. PSI is committed to the training of future generations. Therefore, about one quarter of our staff are post-docs, post-graduates or apprentices. Altogether, PSI employs 2200 people.

The European Space Deep-tech Innovation Centre (ESDI) is a joint initiative between the European Space Agency (ESA) and Switzerland. ESDI tackles bottleneck use- inspired deep-tech challenges and unlocks new commercial opportunities by supporting ambitious, clearly defined, and measurable research programs in the areas of quantum technologies, data management and processing, materials innovation and processing, and sustainable space ecosystem. Within this context ESDI will run a Phi-Lab within the new ESA Phi-labNET for innovation.
