Our Transportation industry team supports clients throughout the United States by providing high impact and high value risk-based system safety, system security, and fire/life safety consulting and engineering services across multiple industries. Our clients include a mix of Federal, State and Local government agencies.

This role can be based anywhere in the United States.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
The successful applicant will have 5 or more years of relevant experience in federal, state, or local government contracts management and must be able to work as part of a diverse multi-disciplined project team. Successful candidates must have strong planning and execution skills, attention to detail, and the ability to clearly synthesis key contractual risks and liabilities to senior management. Additional candidate qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, pre-law, business administration, or a similar discipline required.
- Proficiency in contract negotiations, including understanding of key contracting principles and drafting strategies.
- Good interpersonal skills, as well as strong written and oral communication skills required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Unanet GovCon ERP desired, but not required.
- Relevant experience in U.S. federal, state or local government contract management and administration and/or related areas; experience in international contracting, including with public procurement and commercial contracting a plus.
- Desire to learn, be curious and ask questions.
- Proactive risk management and clear communication.
- Detailed orientated with a focus on transactional excellence.
- Ability to independently prioritize competing deadlines.
- A self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized individual who can work independently as well as within a team setting, with the ability to multi-task.
Basic duties of the position may include:
- Researching the terms of an agreement, including applicability of certain provisions.
- Drafting, reviewing and editing prime and sub-contractor agreements (including NDAs, consulting agreements, professional services agreements, master service agreements, etc.), including ensuring such agreements are drafted in compliance with prime contract requirements when necessary.
- Negotiating terms, acting as a mediator, and facilitating discussions to reach agreements.
- Developing templates and establishing contract compliance framework consistent with the risk profile of the company.
- Monitoring compliance with various contractual provisions in accordance with the contract compliance framework and company standards.
- Managing requests from internal departments to ensure contracts are drafted and executed properly.
- Ensuring firm adherence to all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Coordination and collaboration with key functions including legal, finance, HR and the business.
- Model and support our core values and mission critical behaviors.
- Mitigating contract risks.
- Recording and tracking business contracts.
- Executing renewals or extensions on tasks and contracts and alerting project managers.
- Tracking all communications between the firm and its various accounts.
- Providing proposal support.
- Other responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
