As part of this vision, we are seeking a dynamic Material Senior Engineer to join our Material Engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work in an international, detail-oriented, and passionate environment, contributing to the success of our projects.

Main duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and issue basic and detailed project documentation.

  • Manage activities related to proposals, revamping, and EPC projects.

  • Coordinate and oversee Home Office activities and external engineering companies, ensuring compliance with project procedures and industry best practices.

  • Maintain strong communication with Clients and Partners.

  • Travel abroad for meetings, site surveys, and technical support.

  • Provide assistance to the site team during erection phases.

  • This role requires a proactive, detail-focused, and team-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment.


Education

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Materials Engineering, or equivalent

Languages

  • Fluent Italian

  • Fluent English

  • Knowledge of any other language may be an asset.

Software knowledge

Good practical experience in using the following software:

  • Piping material specification software

  • MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Power Platform)

Skills

  • Extensive expertise in metallurgy, welding processes, and material selection.

  • In-depth knowledge of materials used in industrial plants, including metals, alloys, plastics, and GRE (Glass Reinforced Epoxy).

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Piping Engineering in accordance with ASME B31.1 / B31.3 and EN Codes, applied to both greenfield and brownfield projects.

  • Proficient in preparing piping component calculation reports based on widely recognized piping codes.

  • Expertise in Piping Material Engineering, including the preparation of Piping Material Specifications, Material Requisitions, Technical Bid Evaluations, Vendor Documentation Review, and Construction Follow-Up.

  • Skilled in preparing Painting Technical Documentation, reviewing vendor documentation, and overseeing construction activities.

  • Experienced in insulation thickness calculation based on specification requirements and site conditions.

  • Proficient in preparing and reviewing welding and NDT specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices while incorporating technological advancements.

  • Strong project management skills, effectively managing deadlines, budgets, and progress in alignment with project schedules.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication and analytical skills, enabling effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.

  • Ability to prioritize workloads and problem-solving, addressing the needs of various stakeholders efficiently.

  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all tasks.

  • Thrives in high-pressure, fast-paced environments, demonstrating adaptability and resilience in dynamic settings.

Experience

Minimum of 10 years of professional experience.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:

  • EPC companies operating in the chemical, petrochemical, or oil&gas sectors.

  • A Project Control role within the last 2 to 5 years.

  • Site-based assignments, demonstrating hands-on project execution.

  • International Welding Engineer qualification is highly desirable.
