The University of Bern offers over 120 continuing education programs. The Center for University Continuing Education (ZUW) supports and advises the university's faculties and institutes in the planning, organization, promotion, implementation, and evaluation of these programs, while also offering its own continuing education opportunities.
Tasks
Marketing Strategy
- Annual Communication and Marketing Plan: Develop and implement an annual marketing and communication plan in close collaboration with the Head of Program. Define messaging, formats, and communication channels for participant acquisition, program promotion, and international visibility.
- Brand and Corporate Identity Management: Ensure all channels and communication materials will adopt IPDET newly designed brand identity (brand book and guidelines will be provided), maintaining a cohesive corporate identity.
- Content Creation and Management: Create and manage marketing materials, newsletters, and content for social media and the website, focusing on program visibility, participant and alumni engagement..
- Social Media Campaigns: Design and implement social media campaigns, manage community interactions, and monitor performance metrics to increase IPDET's online presence
- Community Building Initiatives: Plan and execute communitybuilding activities for both online and onsite events, such as kickoff and closing ceremonies, network meetings, and thematic exchange formats in collaboration with the Head of Program and Operational Program Manager.
- Alumni Engagement: Strengthen IPDET's global alumni network by coordinating regular communication and alumni-focused content (e.g., newsletters, social media groups). Facilitate alumni participation in events and IPDET-related activities.
- Website Updates : Maintain and update the IPDET website (Word-Press/Elementor), ensuring accurate, user-friendlycontent that highlights upcoming programs and events
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with GEI and international partners to align communication strategies. Create promotional content to support donor and partner engagement. Fundraising Support: Assist in producing communication materials for fundraising initiatives, focusing on engaging potential donors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 5-7 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations, with a preference for experience in educational or international contexts.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with an eye for detail.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and website management (WordPress/Elementor).
- Excellent verbal and written English skills is a must; working knowledge of German is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Familiarity with SEO and analytics tools for tracking and optimizing performance.
