As a Project Manager you will join our Global Multi-Physic Simulation (GLOMUS) network team in the Technology Center of HITACHI-Energy. You will be part of a group with specific expertise in mechanical, electromagnetic, acoustic and thermal design and support innovative and challenging projects.
As part of our global R&D community, including Technology Centers and Research Centers worldwide, you will coordinate across multiple internal teams and external partners, ensuring successful project delivery from initiation through to validation.
Your Responsibilities

Lead R&D projects from proposal to validation, ensuring goals are met on time and within budget

Manage a multi-disciplinary simulation team, overseeing workload distribution, productivity, and timeline adherence

Provide technical oversight in simulations (electromagnetic, structural, acoustic, thermo-mechanical) and support the development of simulation tools

Collaborate with internal teams, labs, engineering offices, and universities for technology transfer

Track project progress, report key milestones to stakeholders, and mitigate project risks

Prepare design guidelines and training materials for the engineering department

Your Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Physics, or related fields (experience with transformer simulations is a plus)

5+ years of experience in R&D project management with expertise in project planning, resource allocation, and progress tracking

Proficient in FEA methodologies and simulation platforms like ANSYS or MATLAB
-
Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with experience collaborating with external stakeholders (universities, research institutions)

Willingness to travel and fluent in English
