We're hiring a Country Trade Compliance Specialist to join our amazing team in Switzerland! You will be part of the Swiss country trade compliance team and will be providing operational support for the Local Business Unit in terms of customs, tariffing, origin calculation and export control classification (“operational Trade Compliance”).
How you will make an impact

Check, advice and elaborate on requests related to customs procedures, preferential calculations, HS codes, VAT and dual – use classifications

Create and improve local directives and standard operating procedures considering Hitachi Energy’s directives

Prepare, improve and hold on trainings regarding Trade Compliance in the LBU’s on selected customs, international trade, rules of origin and customs tariffing matters

Keep close contact to LBU business functions and advise operational trade responsible (e.g. product classification engineers, customs tariff coders, logistics staff, external forwarders, TCO’s)

Work on improvements and give support on complex SAP GTS functionalities

Contribute to customs audits and carry out internal checks (internal control system) on trade compliance aspects (incoterms, HS codes, export controls, preferential origin correctness, import and export efficiency)

Keep up to date in customs / origins / export control topics
Your background
-
At least 6 years of experience in the export and import sector

Very good knowledge of tariff, origin and customs procedures

Very good knowledge of EU and EFTA / free trade agreements

Experience in project management or – cooperation

Proactive, independent, team – oriented, flexible, motivated

Fluent in German and English, Italian language skills would be a plus.
