Your role is to build Global product assortments in line with the Dickies strategy, by obtaining a deep understanding of the market situation, needs and product performance from the regional teams. You translate the results of these analyses into a seasonal Merchandising Plan with strong briefing/guidance in collaboration with the Design and Product development team.
Analyse:
Collect and analyse quantitative and qualitative data:
Competition: understand the needs of the target consumers and competitive environment by regular market visits and research
Market: maintain constant awareness of market requirements working closely with regional merchandising partners.
Continuous follow ups of the sales forecasts and performance of each channel and category
Product: in depth analyse of the product life cycle and SKU efficiency
Plan:
Define potential growth areas and/or missed opportunities aligned with Global Product Strategy
Translate the insights into a seasonal merchandising plan framing the product offer linked to the distribution target.
Assess the Pricepoints and ensure clear Price Architecture per category.
Brief:
Work in close collaboration with regional teams to translate the market needs into physical projects
Constantly assess the seasonal developments and designs following the line meetings and regional feedback
Collaborate with Global workwear team to align on product briefing.
Execute:
Line list coordination includes notably setting up & keeping track of and updating all product related systems
Deliver and support presentations to the regional teams at key GTM milestones.
Ensure a constant evaluation of launched items by seeking market feedback and product performance checks
Skills for Success
Early career years experience in a Product / Buying/ Merchandising required
Commercial eye- ability to spot the next trend
Ability to think strategically
Ability to analyse both quantitative and qualitative data
Possess a persistent attention to detail
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excel and PLM skills are a plus
Fluent in English
