Job Description:
Arrow is seeking a passionate, experienced and highly skilled Sales Engineer with a focus on IBM automation to lead our organization’s efforts in advocating for and implementing automation technologies with our channel partner community. The ideal candidate will drive the adoption of automation solutions, educate stakeholders, and demonstrate the tangible benefits of automation across various business processes. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, solution design and exceptional communication skills. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in promoting automation concepts, addressing complex business challenges, working closely with sales representatives and converse with all levels of partner and client contacts about automation and modernization, with a focus on IBM automation platforms and technology.
As an Automation Sales Engineer, you will need to be well versed in financial selling, deal progression and solution demonstrations. You will also need project management skills for complex projects, collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and contribute to the advancement of automation concepts.
Advocate for Automation: Champion the use of automation technologies (e.g., RPA, AI, ML) across the organization, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Identify the synergy between automation applications/concepts and hardware/software products that exist in a client’s infrastructure environment.
Educate & Train: Design and deliver engaging training programs, workshops, and presentations to educate stakeholders on the benefits, implementation, and management of automation solutions. Research proficiencies and advise clients how to improve their skills.
Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with business units, IT teams, and other stakeholders to identify automation opportunities, address concerns, and ensure successful implementation.
Project Management: Oversee the deployment of automation projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and performance metrics. Suggest features to be added to the demonstration environment.
Industry Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to keep the organization at the forefront of automation advancements. Produce impactful, thought-leadership content, including blogs, articles, webinars, white papers, best practices, point of views, and presentations to educate, inspire and articulate “the art of possible”, while effectively positioning Arrow as a channel leader.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process maps, technical specifications, and user guides.
Community Building: Establish and nurture a community of Automation enthusiasts and practitioners. Organize and participate in meetups, conferences, webinars, panels and other events to connect and grow the Automation community.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., CAP, RPA Developer Certification) are a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in automation, process improvement, or a related field, with a proven track record of successful automation projects.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with automation tools and platforms (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere) and a solid understanding of programming languages relevant to automation (e.g., Python, JavaScript). Hold industry certifications that include Automation principles.
Project Management: Strong project management skills, including experience with project planning, execution, and monitoring.
***Must be able to travel at 50% of the time.

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:
$161,800.00 - $225,500.00
Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.

US-CO-Colorado (Remote Employees) Remote work employees may be required to be present at the closest designated Arrow office for work-related purposes, at the Company’s request and sole discretion.
