Key information

Job Description:

  1. Ensures the complete, safe, and efficient execution of all cargo operations by taking necessary actions, overseeing, tracking, and reporting the processes of Ground Handling Agents (GHA).
  2. Monitors all accounting processes related to cargo operations; ensures services are in compliance with agreements; processes delivery and acceptance documents into our system, and prepares final invoices for approval by the supervisor.
  3. Tracks Service Level Agreements (SLA) with service providers and coordinates with central departments in Istanbul when necessary.
  4. Coordinates all trucking and road transportation processes.
  5. During Turkish Airlines cargo flights, physically accompanies the loading process from start to finish on the apron. Ensures the smooth workflow of all service providers and guarantees on-time and safe departure of the aircraft by performing all necessary checks and coordination.
  6. Coordinates with civil aviation authorities and other relevant institutions, adhering to all rules and regulations.
  7. Monitors and addresses all operational complaints from customers, ensuring quick resolution and reporting to the supervisor.
  8. Performs any tasks related to cargo operations or invoicing processes as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Working Hours:

  • Regular working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00.
  • On days with cargo flights, working hours are adjusted according to flight schedules. If there are flights on Saturdays, presence on the apron may be required, and this will be balanced with weekday hours.
  • This is primarily an office job, but on cargo flight days, physical presence on the apron is required, and this process takes approximately 3 hours per flight.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Vocational Education and Training (VET/EFZ) or equivalent, preferably a Bachelor’s Degree or higher education
  • Preferably at least 1 year of experience in aviation, logistics, or accounting
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory; knowledge of German and Turkish is an advantage
  • Permanent residency in the respective country (The company will not provide or assist with work permits)
  • Aspires to a long-term career in the air cargo industry and is eager to develop in this field
  • Flexible working hours, ability to work independently and under pressure, strong sense of responsibility, effective decision-making skills, and proactive problem-solving abilities
