Are you skilled in designing and managing secure. scalable environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and collaborating with multiple technical stakeholders? Then join Skycell as a Senior System Engineer and play a vital role in our mission.
Here's what you'll do:
- Evaluate, design, roll out and manage Azure-based infrastructure and applications, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and cost-efficient
- Develop and maintain configurations for Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and other associated services
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers and other technical stakeholders to gather technical requirements and ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO/IEC 27001
- Design and implement security measures to protect computer systems and network infrastructure
- Utilize Azure Security Center and other tools to detect, investigate, and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive backup/restore strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
- Lead the response to critical incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members
- Provide tier-3 support and work with other IT teams to resolve complex problems
- Generate reports on system performance, security incidents, and usage metrics
- Communicate progress, risks and dependencies to the team leader or manager
- Contribute to strategic planning for IT infrastructure
This is what you'll need:
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in system engineering or related roles, with significant focus on Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud services
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 security and compliance features
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration
- In-depth knowledge of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods
- Language: English
