Job Summary:
The Quality Technician is responsible to ensure that products meet the specifications, performance, safety, compliance, and reliability standards required by the customers by inspecting, testing, and verifying the quality of the components, systems, and processes used in electronic equipment manufacturing including warranty repair. This job will require technician to be full time in our office located in Richmond, BC.
Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Manage Material Review Board inventory until resolution.
- Manage and perform production line and process audits, model change audits, Out of Box Audits, ISO internal audits and Certifications audits.
- Manage the product inspection to ensure the product shipped to customer meeting the product specification.
- Document and report potential defects, errors, or deviations to standard of specifications accurately and clearly, using the appropriate tools and methods
- Able to use strong problem-solving methodologies to identify root causes of any quality issues and propose and implement solutions that can prevent or correct them.
- Manage and perform Ongoing Reliability Tests.
- Provide support on engineering change implementation and verifying the change results in the assembly and test process.
- Conduct First Article Inspection by sampling of first production goods, quality check seed inventory and quality inspect of refurbish/rework/repair units.
- Define quality sampling plan and AQL level for Product Inspections.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2-3 years experience in the Electronics & Mechanical Manufacturing industry, ideally in Quality / Manufacturing / Industrial engineering role
- Familiar with Quality core tools such as SPC, FMEA – Quality Plan, GR&R, Poke-Yoke…
- Experienced in apply structured problem solving; 8D, 5 WHYs, fishbone analysis.
Desired Qualifications
- Academic qualification in electronical mechanical engineering or related discipline.
- ISO 9001 Auditor certified
- SO/IEC 80079-34, UL, ETL, CCC regulatory requirement and audit experienced
- Agile, SAP experienced
- IPC A 610 background / experience is preferable

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is CAD $49,500 - $65,500. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base salary, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education and experience, as well as job location and the value of other elements of an employee’s total compensation package.
