Your Mission

  • Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for assigned spend categories
  • Contribute to and implement short- and long-term Make or Buy (MoB) strategies Establishment and application of aligned procurement processes, sustainable supplier assessments (existing) and candidate, development and qualification of an efficient and compliant supplier base
  • Proactively manage the suppliers to help improve the performance of the supply base in terms of quality, delivery, cost and cash flow
  • Act as a responsive business partner to the programs with responsibility for the assigned direct materials and early supplier integration in the development process
  • Commodity Group management including supplier performance and risk management
  • Define and manage the supplier portfolio for the assigned commodity groups
  • Conduct annual price negotiations and conclude agreements and framework contracts
  • Supporting project tenders with price estimates and early supplier involvement for the key components
  • Coordination with & providing functional leadership towards project lead buyers & project buyers within the commodity team
  • Coordination and consolidation of global spend across all sites, lifting synergies for the assigned commodity groups ▪ Continuously optimize total cost of ownership (TCO) and drive savings initiatives ▪ Support of selected Subcontracting activities and contracts
  • Acts and leads according to the Company’s Values and Code of Conduct, and drives process development within the function
  • Act as a change agent within own organization as well as towards main stakeholders

Your Story

  • Technical education on BSs or MSc level combined with economic know-how, e.g. studies Business & Engineering, Supply Chain Management
  • 5+ years in-depth strategic and operational sourcing experience with a solid working knowledge of global supply base management as well as supplier development and quality
  • Solid experience from Strategic Procurement in a project-based industry
  • Demonstrated work experience on category management
  • Global Sourcing Experience in US, EU and Asia as well as in Best Cost Country and spend relocation activities
  • Strong analytical skills (risk based) and focus on the essential facts
  • Sensible and emphatic communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of the extended value stream flows on a global scale
  • Willingness to travel internationally
  • Hands-on team player
