We are seeking a law student or law graduate with initiative, diligence, accessibility and a willingness to jump in and learn, ask questions, and strive to join our dynamic international team in Rotkreuz, Switzerland as an intern! You will be fully integrated in the Legal Department of Roche Diagnostics Solutions, but also will closely collaborate with the Direct Procurement Team on project-related questions.
This internship position is located in Rotkreuz, Switzerland, hybrid.
This internship will be focusing on two main areas:

Contract Implementation with Suppliers: supporting the Direct Procurement Team in implementing and negotiating a Framework Agreement with certain suppliers

Support of the Legal Department: assisting the Legal Department (Legal Counsels and Legal Specialists) in reviewing and drafting a wide range of Legal documents, conducting legal research and analysis of legal questions as well as assisting in the management of legal documentation and databases
Key Responsibilities

Familiarize with the contract landscape and in particular with the provisions and template of the Framework Agreement and Individual Agreements of the Direct Procurement Department

Act as the connector between Direct Procurement and Legal as well as interact with further internal functions like Quality & Regulations (as required)

Support the drafting, reviewing and negotiation of the Framework Agreement with identified suppliers in close collaboration with the Roche Sourcing Managers; co-define with the Direct Procurement Contracting SME team the scope of the contract project based on the identified and maybe changed need

Supporting Direct Procurement and the Legal Department in monitoring and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies

Providing legal assistance to Legal Counsels and Legal Specialists, including reviewing, drafting and editing as well as negotiating of a wide range of legal documentation (such as Confidentiality Agreements, Material Transfer Agreements, Consultancy and Services Agreements) and conducting of legal research as well as management of legal documentation and databases

Supporting projects/tasks assigned by Legal Counsels composing and preparing reports, presentations, and other complex documents

Developing and presenting legal and compliance trainings regarding various legal topics

Participation in Team Meetings, writing of minutes
Who You Are
You are enrolled in your Master of Law studies or you have completed your Bachelor of Law or Master of Law studies at a university after February 2024 and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship.
Furthermore you are

Fluency in English is a must, German is a plus

Good knowledge of general areas of law, such as contract law and corporate law

Work experience in an in-house legal or procurement department is a plus
-
Knowledge of supply chain related specific requirements, such as forecasting procedures, last time buy, penalties, Incoterms etc. is a plus

Strong attention to detail, fast thinker and strong organizational skills

Able to work independently and with a team effectively
-
Hands-on mentality and pragmatic
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate clearly, convincingly and diplomatically
Technical details:
The start date for the internship is March 2025 with a duration of 6 - 12 months.
Part-time employment is possible (32 - 40 hours per week)
It is not possible to write a thesis during the internship.
The application deadline is November 11th. Interviews will take place in late November and early December.
