FIVE's exciting new project, FIVE Zurich, which opened on 30th June 2022, is a newly revamped lifestyle hotel and Swiss hotspot that has previously been visited by the likes of Rihanna, Freddy Mercury, Grace Jones and Muhammad Ali as regular guests. Set to be a huge success, overlooking the city center from Zurich's stunning Uetliberg plateau, this property is home to 87 suites and rooms as well as 7 award-winning and new culinary concepts centered around FIVE's hallmark musical stylings. The new FIVE hotel in Zurich seamlessly unites the very best of Swiss hospitality with FIVE's characteristic flair for exceptionally indulgent experiences for guests from the city and international visitors alike.

As a Demi Chef De Partie you will join a committed culinary team driven with the intent of delivering ‘FIVE-star' guest experiences to an international diaspora.
As our ideal candidate, you have proven experience in a highly active environment. Your organizational, communication, and leadership skills are second to none and you enjoy developing solutions that push groundbreaking boundaries.
You'll work closely with the management team to develop constantly evolving service goals.
What We're Looking For
- A Demi Chef De Partie who has worked in, and understands, high volume operations. Someone who is always a step ahead and is a passionate innovator while being a true culinary enthusiast
- Experience in multiple type of cuisines is an advantage
- Expresses the FIVE Vibe by delivering exquisite culinary experiences
- Experience in Cold Kitchen and/or Hot Kitchen
- Demonstrates great dedication, has high energy and contributes with enthusiasm
- Must be willing to ride the journey of creating a successful FIVE brand
- An active learner with an open mind that embraces change, is always solution driven and an ideation expert
- Swiss work permit holder or EU ID / Passport holder
- Proficiency in multiple languages is a bonus
- Strong working knowledge of industry regulations
Key Responsibilities
- A driven, professional, and confident Demi Chef de Partie with a proven track record working within the luxury hospitality sector
- Undertake food preparation and cooking on a day-to-day basis in a kitchen section directed by the Chef De Partie/ Sous Chef and monitor closely the requirements for mise-en-place to ensure that the station is ready for service
- Always maintain, a sufficient level of food items to ensure an uninterrupted flow of food during the service period whilst controlling food quality, consistency, presentation and taste
- Ensure kitchen and food preparation areas are entirely clean when left unattended
- Follow the rules set and/or by law regarding hygiene, stock rotation, dating, storage, temperature control of refrigerators, pest control, reporting of faulty equipment, reporting of notifiable diseases, reporting of absenteeism be it due to sickness or otherwise
- Help to prevent waste of food and over-production to mise-en-place, and keep food order from store or supplies to a minimum
- Monitor the daily work assigned to colleagues and ensure that given guidelines are followed, and the necessary corrective measures have been taken, if necessary
- Prepare and properly garnishes food orders as they are received in accordance with recipes and proper plate presentation
- Supervise and support team members in their own sections in order to achieve optimum quality
- Follows proper safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices at all times
- Contribute to controlling costs, improving gross profit margins, and other departmental and financial targets
- Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
- Assist Chef De Partie/ Sous Chef in the training of all staff in compliance of company procedures
- Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues
- Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety and food safety legislation
- Instruct / train the kitchen team on routine procedures and supervise their tasks to ensure clarity and adherence
- Work efficiently to control wastage of food and non- food items
