Alumni Community Manager
Our ETH Alumni Engagement team within the Office of the President conceptualizes, develops and implements the alumni work of ETH Zurich. Our goal is to develop and establish an attractive offer for the ETH alumni community, to bring them closer to ETH Zurich and to activate a vibrant, global community. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Community Manager to join our team and help manage the relationships with this stakeholder group.
We are looking for an outgoing, people-oriented and well-organized team member with passion for community building and connecting people.
Job description
As Alumni Community Manager you will support the ongoing management of the ETH alumni community and work on our current flagship projects such as the ETH Circle, the Knowledge Network and the We Are ETH Podcast:
ETH Circle: You will support the Head of Alumni Engagement in managing relationships with members of the ETH Circle and other ETH ambassadors and constituents, planning and organizing events and discussions in collaboration with other teams at ETH Zurich. You will help to capture knowledge and information from these discussions and document the outcomes and key takeaways from the various touchpoints.
ETH Alumni Knowledge Network: You will support and facilitate the exchange on our new AI-powered exchange forum. You will plan and implement strategies to increase engagement and work with our Communications Specialist to encourage community participation. You will help to curate content in the Knowledge Network and reach out to relevant parts of ETH Zurich to coordinate this as needed. You will also work with the platform provider to ensure consistent branding.
We Are ETH Podcast: As part of the production team of the We Are ETH Podcast, you will be responsible for the pipeline of alumni guests for the podcast: identifying them, contacting them, liaising with the external technical producers to set up the recording (remotely or in person), following up at the time of publication and then keeping in touch. You will also be responsible for researching the guest, briefing our host, assisting the host as required, and keeping track of any related contractual issues.
Profile
- Background and degree in Communications / International Relations and work experience with community management,
- Good communication skills, conversant in many topics and at ease with people of various backgrounds, cultures and seniority
- Familiarity with online forums and collaboration platforms
- Excellent language skills in both English and German (oral and written)
- Previous experience with podcasts is desirable, but not required
