The Infrastructure Solution Architect is a seasoned professional role, who applies in-depth IT knowledge and experience towards gathering and analyzing business / application requirements in support of Citi financial services.  With the goal to design strategic target state architecture, using defined standards to maximize performance, capacity, while driving IT costs down.  They would be familiar with infrastructure Platform as a Service (PaaS), providing IT services within the private cloud, integrating orchestration and automation to quickly deliver solutions.  A general knowledge of the financial services industry and how technology supports and enables those services is extremely beneficial.  

Responsibilities

• Supporting CTI businesses as a trusted advisor for all solution tasks.

• Engage in routine discussions with stakeholders (Systems and Database Administrators, Tech Teams and Business representatives) regarding Application/Business requirements.

• Work with peers in Technology Infrastructure teams (Servers, Storage, Network) in design of best solution.

• Ability to take ALL elements of a solution design and capture in both a narrative and diagram (Visio) form in such a way that stakeholders can understand.

• Optimize cloud resource utilization, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient management of on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure.

• Provide recommendations on when to use Private Cloud vs. Public Cloud vs. Hybrid Cloud approaches, depending on business needs, security, and cost considerations.

• Work with client stakeholders in the migration of existing applications to new strategic technology platforms, and the adoption of new applications into Citi.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

• A minimum of 2 plus years IT hands-on relevant experience working directly with Enterprise Technology Solutions, supporting large organizations.

• Familiar with Public Cloud platforms (AWS, Google, Azure).

• Demonstrates problem-solving techniques in a highly complex and an ever changing technology landscape.

• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.

• Ability to develop working relationships, manage multiple activities and changing priorities.

• Self-starter with ability to take the initiative and master new tasks quickly.
