We are searching for the best talent for Communications & Public Affairs Senior Manager Mexico to be in Mexico City, Mexico.
Purpose:
Reporting to the Regional Communication, Public Affairs and Patient Advocacy Leader, Pharmaceuticals Latin America, this position will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategic planning, internal and external communication and public affairs strategies that support Janssen’s core therapeutic areas in Mexico. It will require to develop strategies that engage and influence stakeholders to build their trust and advocacy, drive business objectives and inspire employee advocacy and engagement. In addition, will be responsible for effective communication and Public Affairs programs and activities and the implementation of communication tools to support, protect and enhance the Janssen Mexico’s strategy, trust and reputation. It will provide support as well on our access strategies with appropriate Public Affairs considerations, seamlessly integrated with all functions that define our access strategies (Government Affairs, HEMAR, Advocacy).
You will be responsible for:
- Develop and implement a corporate communications strategy for Mexico which grows Janssen and J&J’s reputation in the cluster, leveraging corporate initiatives, Janssen assets and stakeholder participation where appropriate.
- Develop and implement the Communications and Public Affairs strategy in Mexico, which translates our company strategy into a compelling narrative for external audiences to strengthen the corporate image and reputation of Janssen.
- Proactively engage, inform, influence, develop and leverage relationships with key external stakeholders and enable senior leaders within the organization to engage with them to grow our reputation.
- Contribute to shaping external thought leadership and public policy, requiring seamless collaboration with External Affairs staff in Mexico and frequent partnering with leading industry trade associations in the different countries within the Cluster
- Actively monitor trade/industry/business media landscape, identifying trends and seeking opportunities to drive powerful local activation of campaigns, in close collaboration with regional communication & public affairs team members.
- Connect and partner with Patient Advocacy group across the cluster to partner with them in initiatives that help empower patients to access their treatments.
- Develop and effectively execute organizational communications strategies as well as leadership communication to engage, educate and motivate employees to achieve superior results and make them ambassadors for the company. This includes providing strategic counsel, coach and support to local Managing Director and local/cluster board.
- Provide advice and support with strategic communications to the Therapeutic Areas, Functions and Corporate developing and managing state-of-the-art internal communications framework to increase effectiveness and reach of target audiences in alignment with Function’s guidelines; Support Janssen Strategy and regional Culture locally while supporting business and change management initiatives.
- Lead the local Strategic Affair Working Group and represent Mexico in the regional Pandemic Response Team
- Be a team player within the regional communications team. Maintain constant communications with the region about developments in a cluster level and be a point of contact to implement initiatives that are helpful for the local business.
- Be a trusted communication advisor for business leaders within Janssen Mexico on business-critical themes or topics closely related to business strategy to ensure corporate communications and public affairs strategy continues to meet business needs. Work closely with them in a counseling capacity, coach leaders to develop their ability to engage and inspire their organizations and shape the external environment.
- Model and inspire integration of knowledge from deep internal and external networks; multi-stakeholder insights; and broad understanding of business, competitive and industry priorities in development and implementation of strategic communication plans that drive key business and reputation outcomes and shape the environment for the company’s medicines and solutions.
- Ensure appropriate communication on future-oriented activities. This comprises all activities where Janssen is aiming to define the future with its stakeholders to support our ‘Drive the Debate’ approach.
- Advise on channels and frequency as well as guidance towards colleagues about content and frequency of communication.
- Identify and apply key outcomes and metrics to communication practices, and provide insights that improve quality, performance, and key capabilities.
- Partner with digital communication regional colleague to develop and guide implementation of internal communication strategies for product or new indication.
- Manage communication agencies and other professional agencies supporting Corporate Communications, Public Affairs and brands/Tas, by developing Communication budgets and manage resources.
- Manage the communication materials approval processes at regional and global level, when required. Ensures that communications efforts are consistent with the branding, HCC and Regulatory guidelines.
