The Project Management (PM) team is responsible for the orchestration of delivery activities towards Connectivity, Communications, and Security products and services contracted by and provided to GTT’s Enterprise customers.
Develop and maintain a team that works closely with Sales to jointly develop and support viable plans for delivering industry leading Project Management and in life support of GTT Enterprise customers.
The team provides a wide range of Professional Services ensuring that GTT can support the pre- and post-sale lifecycle of large and complex Enterprise customer solutions.
Main Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director, Project Management Europe, managing their regional team of Project Managers.
This individual is responsible for ensuring the team successfully delivers ICT and Telecommunication projects in a challenging environment.
You will work closely with Central and Regional Delivery Teams, Sales Teams and other Project Management teams to implement new projects and solutions for the customer.
Weekly reporting on the RAG status of client projects in region or team. This will initially include elements to measure the regularity of client reporting by the PMs, achievement of milestones, client satisfaction RAG and financial health of the project. Other reporting areas may be added or removed as agreed with the Director, Project Management Europe.
They will also be an advocate of change within the organization.
Working on and contributing to a cross company team to continually evolve GTT’s own Project Management Methodology and Client Satisfaction.
Other Key Responsibilities will be
- Managing and developing teams, providing both technical and leadership expertise and ensuring highest levels of performance
- Monitor and steer Performance of your team, including both personal and company objectives
- Assisting and managing relationships with external vendors and contractors
- Liaising with internal central and regional management groups
- Support continuous, incremental optimizations of internal processes in coordination with Senior Leadership who provide functional management and steering
- Bid support: Create and execute project work plans using MS project or similar. Revise and understand these plans and deliverables to meet project needs and requirements
- Business travel to participate in customer meetings and flexibility of working hours is required
- Identify resources and skill sets needed and assign individual responsibilities
- Effectively apply team methodology and ensure client expectations are managed and met
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a client project team
- Prepare and manage project reviews, quality assurance procedures and update risk register
- Minimize employer's and client's exposure and risk with respect to commercial and operating variables
- Ensure team project documentation is complete, current, and recorded appropriately
- Liaise with clients and ensure deliverables are met throughout project
Candidate Experience
- A degree or significant experience from a technical or engineering background
- More than 3 years of team management experience (functional or matrix)
- 5 to 10 years project management experience within an Managed Services, Enterprise
- Networking or ICT area
- Demonstrable experience of process design and implementation
- Possess an understanding of complex ICT or networking engineering principles and experience of delivering related projects
- Experience of SDWAN and Security (SASE) is mandatory
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills are essential
- Experience of managing budgets of $5M+ and procuring service contracts above $1M
- Prince II Practitioner or equivalent Project Management qualification
- Additional business qualifications would be considered a benefit
