In this role you will support AXA XL’s newly established Middle Market pricing team which focuses on the expansion of our current offering to Middle Market clients in the Commercial P&C market.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
· Ensure that the US Middle Market product lines have market leading, technical pricing and portfolio management capabilities and be responsible for the delivery of those capabilities.
· Provide decision making guidance throughout the entire underwriting process, through the use of advanced analytics, to drive superior business performance.
· Develop and leverage product pricing methodologies (aligned to global strategies and methodologies) including pricing algorithms, pricing parameters, pricing change impact analysis, and advanced pricing techniques.
· Support development, testing and calibration of Pricing tools, alongside Models team.
· Train and answer underwriter queries on pricing tools
· Case pricing for larger risks
· Collaborate with key business stakeholders in Underwriting, Finance, Reserving and Claims to support adequate pricing and profitable growth strategies
· Ensure compliance with Pricing Model Standards, maintain required technical pricing documentation, and enforce pricing model governance
· Support reinsurance and risk management with data and analysis, as needed
· Managing the portfolio, assessing the expected profitability and risk of products through review, analysis and interpretation of quantitative and qualitative information and trends
· Creation of underwriting actions to improve profitability if required
· Ad hoc requests
You will report to Head of Pricing, Americas and work closely with the Head of Pricing, Americas.

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
· Extensive P&C experience with emphasis in middle market, commercial lines pricing and/or small commercial (CMP or BOP) pricing
· ACAS or FCAS Designation
· Leadership skills to work collaboratively with colleagues to build consensus.
· Outstanding verbal communications skills, as well as influencing and negotiating skills, to gain buy-in to communicate clearly and concisely with internal and external clients.
· Excellent written communication skills
· Outstanding organizational and time management skills
· The ability to demonstrate critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skills
· Proficiency in Excel, programming (R, VBA, SQL) preferred

The U.S. pay range for this position is $194,000 - $225,000. Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual’s skills, experience, and location. We strive for market alignment and internal equity with our colleagues’ pay.
