Roche Diagnostics International Ltd in Rotkreuz is a leading provider of diagnostic system solutions for medical facilities.

As a Solution Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the Solution Development & Integration organization (Solution stands for “System of Systems” in this context). Our team of systems engineers supports development and integration of next generation central lab physical and digital products focusing on seamless interoperability between analyzers, workflow products, and IT systems. We take pride in translating customer and business needs into high-level solution requirements, designing comprehensive architectures, and developing technically feasible design concepts. Based on solid systems engineering principles, we integrate our products into end-to-end settings that closely resemble customer workflows, resulting in a more seamless and satisfactory customer experience.

THE OPPORTUNITY

  • Co-define solutions across the portfolio to enact the company’s strategy and drive analysis, assessment and design among architects and system definition teams of involved products to solve portfolio-level design challenges.

  • Understand existing requirements and expectations, and assist identifying and shaping missing ones and support strategy workshops by ensuring that solutions considered are feasible and sustainable.

  • Collaborate in the solution architecture definition together with the different system teams and ensure that design decisions fulfil various constraints (organization, regulations, budget, tools, people, etc.).

  • Ensure that the organization is informed, consulted, and stands behind those solutions.

  • Proactively communicate the important topics to various business, project, regulatory and technical stakeholders in a language they understand.

  • Play your part in fostering a good “solution culture” where people from different organizations work happily together.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar education in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience in the field of “System of Systems” development in In-vitro diagnostics

  • You have successfully contributed to numerous projects in this domain and possess the ability to provide comprehensive descriptions of them. You have broad and profound experience across the product development lifecycle

  • Proven experience in requirements Elicitation and management. Strong understanding of Non Functional requirements.

  • Your technical experience enables you to lead other architects and technical teams through complex, controversial challenges, document technical agreements and keep track of changes.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. German is an advantage
