This position is responsible for managing capital engineering projects with emphasis on Oral Solid Dosage Manufacturing Facilities, Utilities, Infrastructures and Laboratories.

Your main tasks

  • Responsible for total project delivery from concept to validation and startup process.
  • Lead the definition of capital project scope and objectives, in alignment with business strategy and stakeholder needs
  • Lead project teams, ensuring collaboration by engaging Facilities as well as clients, and stakeholders
  • Lead the scheduling, planning, control, and effective coordination of all the parallel activities related to each project and maintain project schedule through minimal unanticipated schedule challenges
  • Achieve a cost-effective, functional outcome with the use of design guidelines and standards, value engineering, life cycle costing and engineering best practices
  • Oversee compliance with safety, regulatory, and legal requirements
  • Maintain financial control through budgeting, risk management, and project closeout
  • Deliver fully commissioned, qualified projects that meet stakeholder expectations
  • Provide technical guidance, ensuring adherence to company standards and technology viability
  • Manage external contractors and oversee equipment installation, FAT, and SAT
  • Foster a strong Health & Safety culture within the organization

Your profile

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or related industries
  • Expertise in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Process Safety Management (PSM), and Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR)
  • Familiar with the Stage Gate Process and financial management of capital projects
  • Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary teams and strong stakeholder management
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interface and influence all levels of management
  • Experience in technical transfer of technology and concepts
  • Project Management experience in design, construction, qualification, and start-up in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
  • Hands-on experience with contract negotiation and management
  • Fluent in English; French is a plus. Excellent written and communication skills
