Global HR Business Partner, Global Finance, IT & Corporate Functions

We are looking for a Global HR Business Partner to join our HR team and lead the HR strategy the Global Finance, Global IT and Corporate Functions organizations. You will also be the local HRBP for HR professionals in our Basel HQ office. You will report to the Chief People Officer and have dotted lines to the respective Executive Members of the Board (CFO, CITO and others). You will be a trusted advisor and partner to the Executive Leaders and managers in these functions and drive the alignment of the people agenda with our business objectives. You will also collaborate with other HR Business Partners and “HR Clouds” to ensure the delivery of consistent and high-quality HR services across the organization. The role is based in our Basel, Switzerland Headquarters office where many of the Execs and employees are based, with infrequent business travel globally as needed to support your Functions.

Responsibilities

  • Understand business and people needs; articulate and translate business trends, needs and challenges and feedback to various stakeholders within and outside of the HR community.
  • Provide highly responsive HR support to a fast paced global and agile business. Act as a strategic partner, coach, mentor, and advisor to our global business leaders to enable them to deliver performance through their people in line with Straumann Group strategy, purpose, mindset and core beliefs
  • Take ownership in global HR processes (e.g. budgeting, workforce planning, position and performance management, engagement, rewards review, talent and succession, etc.).
  • Ensure implementation of Global HR solutions, initiatives & processes with strong matrix collaboration and evaluate and feedback to the global solution owners.
  • Lead the implementation and further improvement of HR processes supported by digital tools to develop the department towards a more self-service organization together and in collaboration with the respective global, regional, and local HR functions.
  • Act as a Transformation and Change Agent and take a leading role in our Culture Journey to foster a high-performing and engaged workforce.
  • Participate in and lead global projects/initiatives/programs and work closely together with the Global HR team and the regional and local HR functions.
  • Drive and influence a positive employee (life) experience across all moments that matter by enabling the business leaders.
  • Proactive and regular exchange with HR Leaders including best practice sharing.

Qualifications

  • At least 15 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR Business Partner role. Proven track record of leading the HR strategy and operations for large and complex global functions. Experienced in HR transformation within a global matrix environment and skilled in working with different cultures. Also preferable would be experience of working outside of HR.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to translate the business objectives into the people agenda.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships at all levels and become a trusted advisor to senior leadership. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders across the organization. Intellectually curious with a willingness and desire and track record of learning. Highly adaptable and flexible, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and change in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Widespread knowledge of coaching, leadership development and succession planning with demonstrated success in building talent pools and leadership pipelines.
  • Passionate about people and culture, with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Proficient in the use of HR systems and tools (we use SAP Employee Central as our HRIS, SuccessFactors for much of our HR suite, GLINT for Engagement Surveys …), and data-driven in the decision making.
  • Able to work onsite in Basel, Switzerland and willing to travel infrequently to global locations as needed by the business.
