ICT Architect 80-100% (m/f/d)
Our ICT Section consists of 20 highly skilled employees in diverse, interdisciplinary roles that support our entire operation and develop innovative ICT solutions for our mission. As a dynamically growing non-profit organisation with a global presence, we continuously work on transforming and future-proofing our ICT infrastructure and operational processes.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for an ICT Architect (m/f/d) to actively shape the transformation of our ICT infrastructure and expand it in the long term. In this role, you will stand at the intersection of strategic planning and practical implementation, with the opportunity to develop our cloud transformation and architecture further, thereby significantly influencing the technological future of our organization.
Your duties
- Strategic Development and Design of ICT Architecture: Plan and implement a future-proof and scalable ICT infrastructure with a focus on cloud integration and transforming existing systems into the Microsoft 365 environment. Evaluate innovative technologies and best-practice approaches for the ongoing modernization of the architecture.
- Infrastructure Roadmap and Further Development: Support the definition and continuous optimization of the infrastructure roadmap to meet strategic business objectives. Proactively integrate new technologies to improve system stability, efficiency, and security in the long term.
- Cloud Migration and Virtualization: Technical leadership and hands-on implementation in the phase-out of Citrix and VMware, including the migration of remaining applications to Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows 365. Consider efficiency, cost optimization, and security requirements.
- Coordination and Integration: Work closely with teams focused on network, cloud, and security to ensure a seamless and harmonized ICT architecture. Responsible for the interoperability and optimization of all systems, including change management and continuous performance monitoring.
- Business Needs Assessment and Application Rollouts: Act as the technical counterpart for the Business & Innovation department to understand and support emerging business needs. Lead the architectural design and integration for organization-wide rollouts, such as digital signature solutions or other critical applications that impact the enterprise architecture.
- Data Architecture and Management: Develop and implement a flexible data architecture for efficient management and scaling of data warehouse and data lake structures. Ensure optimal integration and use of data sources through appropriate standards and governance mechanisms to ensure data quality, security, and availability. Identify future data requirements and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to align data processes with business goals optimally.
- Technical Documentation and Training: Create detailed technical documentation and conduct training for teams to ensure sustainable implementations of architectural solutions and foster in-depth understanding.
Our requirements
- Experience in ICT Architecture Management: Extensive knowledge in planning and implementing hybrid cloud architectures, particularly with Microsoft 365 and Azure, as well as proven practical experience in maintaining and developing such systems.
- Competency in Virtualization and Cloud Migration Technologies: Hands-on experience with the architecture and migration of virtual environments to cloud-based solutions (Citrix, VMware, AVD). Solid understanding of network security and identity management in hybrid cloud environments.
- Strategic and Operational Thinking: Ability to develop long-term, sustainable solutions combined with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to efficiently engage and optimize in operational functions.
- Communication and Coordination Skills: Excellent ability to explain complex ICT architecture decisions and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to provide secure and future-ready system solutions.
- Certifications (Advantageous): Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, TOGAF, or similar qualifications, are advantageous.
