As a Project Management Officer (PMO) at dss+, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing internal project management processes. You will ensure that internal initiatives are executed effectively, aligning with our strategic objectives, timelines, and resources. This role focuses on the internal workings of our firm, driving consistency and efficiency in how we manage projects across various teams and departments.
The Role
In this critical position, you will be responsible for managing and improving internal project management practices at dss+. You will coordinate with various teams to ensure that internal initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with the firm’s overall goals. This includes optimizing internal workflows, providing leadership on project management best practices, and ensuring smooth execution of strategic initiatives across the organization.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing and overseeing internal projects, ensuring that they are executed according to defined timelines, budgets, and deliverables
- Developing and implementing project management methodologies, tools, and templates for use across internal teams to drive efficiency and consistency
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including department heads and senior leadership, to identify priorities, allocate resources, and mitigate risks
- Monitoring project progress and performance, providing regular updates to internal stakeholders on key milestones and potential challenges
- Conducting post-project reviews to gather insights and lessons learned, ensuring continuous improvement in internal project execution
- Supporting change management initiatives by aligning internal teams and resources to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of new processes
- Facilitating the integration of project management best practices across the organization, coaching internal teams to improve project delivery
- Assisting with the preparation of reports and presentations for senior leadership on the status and outcomes of internal projects
Who are you today?
You are an experienced project manager with a strong background in managing internal initiatives within a consulting or professional services environment. You have a keen eye for detail and are skilled at driving process improvements across teams. You excel in fostering collaboration and ensuring that internal projects align with the firm’s strategic goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in project management, with at least 8 years managing internal initiatives in a consulting or professional services environment
- Strong understanding of project management frameworks, tools, and best practices for driving internal projects
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex internal projects with multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively across departments and levels of the organization
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar platforms
- Experience in change management, resource planning, and financial oversight for internal initiatives
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills, with experience in coaching and mentoring internal teams
- PMP or other relevant project management certifications are preferred
- Ability to thrive in a Purpose-driven, fast-paced, and collaborative consulting environment

Skilled in supporting change initiatives, ensuring that teams and resources are aligned with new processes and that transitions are seamless - Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to monitor, analyze, and report on project performance, using data to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize project delivery
- Leadership and Team Development: Strong background in coaching and mentoring internal teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and project management excellence
