The Opportunity:
As a Head Business Unit, Speciality, you will be reporting directly to the General Manager of Egypt whilst leading the Affiliate’s commercial team of Sales and Product Managers, to deliver a best-in-industry customer offer in Egypt for Urology, Women's Health, and Ophthalmology products.
You will be a member of the Affiliate Leadership team developing the strategic approach for the relevant product portfolio, challenging, implementing and monitoring commercial plans, and inputting to Therapeutic Area Plans.

Key Activities:
- Responsible for ensuring proper adaption for TMEA & International Markets Brand plans in the local market environment and appropriate deployment of local resource to support brand strategies, in consultation with the relevant Marketing & Brand Teams
- Full P&L accountability for the respective portfolio
- Lead the pipeline product launch readiness activity, working closely with the Affiliate Market Access Lead
- Accountability to ensure that the business partner deliver on their commercial and non-commercial responsibilities and KPI's
- Working closely with Customer Operations Team to ensure accountability for the control of all materials / activities undertaken & to guarantee compliance with the local practices and Astellas SOPs, maintaining an accurate, fit-for-purpose up-to-date record of current Astellas materials
- Drive the quality of the Affiliate marketing plan, and work collaboratively with the Affiliate & Regional Market Access and Brand teams to achieve the successful launch of new products
- Ensure collaboration between the Commercial/Medical functions, particularly through support of the Brand Team model, partnering with the Affiliate Medical Lead to resolve cross-functional strategy, operations or behavior issues.
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
- Substantial international experience in a commercial leadership role in Pharma sector with strong patient/customer focus, in multi-disciplinary, matrix and global context, including time spent progressively as a country Product Marketing Manager, Key Account Manager and Regional/National Sales Manager.
- Significant experience of implementing commercial strategy, managing €multi-million budgets and achieving exceptional results in product launches, revenue and market share growth.
- Operational experience of marketing, product communication and multi-brand management at national level.
- Proven leader having grown successful, diverse, high-performing multi-disciplined teams. Should have developed individual team and organisational capability.
- Strong written and verbal communication in English and Arabic.
Preferred Knowledge & Experience:
- Leading people through change and creating a culture of ownership and accountability
- Evidenced experience of successfully leveraging external partnerships to open new commercial opportunities.
Education/Qualifications:
- A post-graduate qualification such an MBA and/or MSc or equivalent is highly desirable.
Additional Information:
- This is a permanent, full-time position.
- The position is based in Cairo, Egypt.
- Candidates should be based in Egypt.
- This position follows our hybrid working model. Role is blend of work from home and a minimum of 2-3 days in the Cairo office. Flexibility may be required in line with business needs. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
