Since the first Apollo Mission on the Moon in 1969 the Space Research and Planetary Sciences Division of the University of Bern is actively participating in space exploration missions to planetary objects in our solar system, such as Moon, Mars, Jupiter and others.

Our division is looking for an administrative assistant for the Artemis project.

Tasks

The holder of this position will provide essential support to the principal investigator, the project manager, and operational team during various stages of mission preparation (initiation, development, production, validation) and execution. Collaborating with all project stakeholders, your responsibilities will include administrative tasks, documentation management, coordination efforts, and general assistance to ensure the smooth running of multiple projects.

Requirements

* Commercial apprenticeship or equivalent (essential).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
* Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar administrative, project or procurement support role.
* Familiarity with export control is an advantage.
* Prior experience in aerospace, defence, or high-tech industries is an advantage.
* High flexibility to accommodate multiple projects, various stakeholders, and heterogenous processes, in a strong matrix organisation.
* Strong organisation skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams).
* Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
