Head of IT OT Infrastructure Operations & Engineering
Location: Remote with regular travel to Basel

• Lead and manage the Global IT OT Infrastructure Operations & Engineering team, overseeing critical domains:
  • Data Center
  • Server, Storage & Backup
  • Network (LAN, WAN, Firewall, Voice services)
• Set and drive the execution of the strategic roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and modern IT best practices.
• Ensure service stability, integrity, and business continuity while delivering services that meet agreed SLAs and business requirements.
• Partner with IT Leadership and key stakeholders to shape global IT demand and ensure effective alignment of investments.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation, standardization, and technical excellence across infrastructure systems.
• Oversee the successful implementation of infrastructure engineering projects within scope, timeline, and budget.
• Maintain security and compliance adherence within IT infrastructure operations.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative environment, enabling teams to excel.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field.
• Languages: Fluent in English and German (business level).
• Experience:
  • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience in large, multi-national organizations.
  • Proven expertise in VMware vSphere, Windows Server, Linux Server, Storage, and Backup solutions.
  • Deep knowledge of network architecture, routing, switching, security, and cloud networking.
  • Experience in security hardening and best practices.
  • Strong background in working with globally distributed, cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to build consensus among senior business, OT, and IT representatives.
  • Proven track record in financial planning, budget management (~USD 10M), and vendor relationship management.
  • Demonstrated success in simplifying, standardizing, and automating IT processes.
