You will join Roche’s Institute of Human Biology , an organization within pRED whose goal is to harness and advance the use of human model systems in drug discovery and development, as well as personalized medicine. Our interdisciplinary research bridges academic and pharmaceutical research, connecting biologists, engineers, and data scientists.
With the continued expansion of the IHB and the upcoming move to a new building, we are seeking organizational, strategic and leadership support for our Lab Infrastructure and Lab Operations. As the Head of Laboratory Infrastructure of the IHB you will be responsible for providing access to the research environment of the future to IHB researchers as well as for leading and coordinating all activities pertaining to the day-to-day Lab Operations functions of the IHB.
Your Impact

You will coordinate and handle the move into IHB’s new building, setting up comprehensive, state-of-the-art labs to enable the success of the IHB project portfolio.

You will assist On- and Off-boarding of scientific research groups.

You will serve as IHB’s point of contact for pRED and Real Estate Management (REM) regarding all infrastructure-related inquiries, and you will be responsible for running the daily operational and infrastructure tasks in the labs and offices at the IHB.

You will be responsible for the delivery of the Lab support services including but not limited to waste management, logistics and stockroom portfolio management.

You will be responsible for purchasing, vendor management and instrument maintenance.

You will drive the evolution of IHB’s lab infrastructure to improve research capabilities and supervise SHE compliance.
Your Profile
You provide at least 5 years of meaningful experience within the Pharmaceutical industry, backed by a University degree in Science or Engineering. Your deep understanding of the research function, coupled with expertise in human model systems, sets you apart. As an effective communicator, you excel at influencing and leading within a matrix environment. Your proactive and pragmatic demeanor, combined with an enterprise thinking approach, enables you to demonstrate your knowledge and expertise to build innovative solutions for IHB researchers at pRED.Driven by curiosity and a willingness to embrace new ways of working, you thrive in times of change and transformation. An independent self-starter, you are adept at finding opportunities to improve efficiency, defining priorities, and focusing on areas that add the most value. Your skills in project management, along with highly effective teamwork and collaboration capabilities, make you a valuable asset to any team.
