Job's mission

 

Provide leadership to plants in establishing best practices for budgeting, cost accounting, variance analysis, efficiency improvement tracking, supply management with insights into manufacturing cost performance, and enhance Manufacturing Controlling as a key headquarters function.

 

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Lead Standard Costing Implementation: Direct the introduction of new standard costing guidelines for Budget 2025 across six plants worldwide, ensuring consistency in applied methods across geographies and time, and managing necessary system and process modifications.
  • Coordinate COGS Calculations: Enhance the calculation of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) for the budget, including assumptions, reconciliations, and related processes.
  • Provide Reporting and Analysis: Deliver regular and ad hoc reports and analyses on manufacturing activities to senior management.
  • Support Transfer Pricing Policy: Assist in the introduction and monitoring of a new transfer pricing policy.
  • Facilitate ERP Implementation: Support the manufacturing and cost accounting aspects of implementing a new global ERP system, including change management.
  • Standardize Manufacturing Processes: Develop, standardize, and implement processes and tools for manufacturing cost variance analysis, target setting, and tracking of efficiency improvement projects.
  • Implement KPIs: Develop, standardize, and implement a relevant set of KPIs for manufacturing plants.
  • Supervise Monthly Closings: Oversee and standardize monthly closing activities within manufacturing entities.
  • Support Capex Business Cases: Aid in developing business cases for capital expenditures (capex) investments in manufacturing plants.

 

Education

 

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Accounting certification such as CPA or an equivalent qualification.
  • Fluent in English and German, with at least basic proficiency in French, both written and spoken.
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of modern ERP systems, particularly in modules related to Manufacturing, Controlling, and Cost Accounting (experience with MS D365 is a plus). Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, is required.

 

Experience

 

  • 10-12 years of experience in Manufacturing Controlling positions, both at the central and plant levels, within an international company, with a proven track record of delivering consistent results.
  • Significant experience in controlling and budgeting within an international manufacturing environment.
  • Lived and worked abroad, ideally in an Asian country, providing valuable cross-cultural and international business insights.
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience in product costing and related systems within a consumer goods environment.
  • Strong experience in project and change management, essential for driving and implementing improvements.
