Lufthansa Systems FlightNav Inc. is part of the Lufthansa Group, provides navigation data, and produces aeronautical charts and navigation applications to support the flight operations of more than 200 airlines. The company is based in Opfikon, Switzerland and currently employs around 200 people.

To support our IT Infrastructure team we are looking for a service-oriented and resilient personality with strong communication skills and a high willingness to learn. Your Tasks

  • System engineering, installation and operation of Linux server environments
  • Installation and operation of Docker systems and Kubenetes
  • Development and implementation of open source solutions such as Opensearch or Prometheus
  • Testing and further development of data center automation solutions with Ansible
  • Cross-divisional collaboration on Windows client/server and network projects
  • Availability for on-call duty

Requirements

  • Completed training as a computer scientist, ideally with FA/HF/FH degree
  • Professional experience with Linux server, Docker and Kubernetes as well as Ansible, Postgres
  • Good knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Cisco network components are an advantage
  • Knowhow in the area of Azure, GCP or AWS is a plus
  • Solution-oriented, conscientious, resilient and communicative team player
  • Fast understanding and interest in new technologies
  • Good technical knowhow
  • Very good German and English skills
