Job Description

Global Segment Manager - Automotive We are seeking a Business Development professional with a passion for the automotive market to join our team as a Global Segment Manager for Automotive Business. This role will have a focus in developing our position with Automotive OEMs. You will contribute to the automotive strategy of our growing company and be responsible for driving growth in specific segments of the automotive market. You will report directly to the head of Global Application Marketing (GAM) for automotive and will work in close collaboration with Regional Segment Managers and product departments to achieve revenue and profitability goals. The ideal candidate will have a mixed background coupling a deep understanding of the automotive market, with business acumen and with engineering background.

The responsibilities include:

Coordinate selected OEMs global strategy in collaboration with the regional segment manager (OEM responsible) and key account managers of different Tier 1s as part of the OEMs ecosystem. Responsible for selected OEMs with global decision-making structure by helping local team to building local relationship with key decision makers as well as setting the plan to improve the position of u-blox and gain more wallet share. Managing and coordinating Global OEM RFQs when different regions are involved or for complex project. Responsible for specific market segment analysis including consolidation of all input from different regions, tracking trends that could impact our business and translate this into recurrent review of the business situation, consolidation of recommendations on how to win in those segments together with a solid plan for development of business. Contributing to the consolidation of input for technical roadmap based on customer/OEMs needs and pain points

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. Marketing related degree is a plus. Business/strategic thinker and relationship builder. Minimum 7 years of experience in Automotive. Good experience working in infotainment and telematics markets would be a plus. Experience in conducting market analysis and business development plan with solid structured approach. Experience in coordinating RFQs and business development with Tier 1 and OEMs, sales experience is a plus. Technical background, experience in FAE or R&D into the automotive market Good knowledge on positioning solution, wireless connectivity and automotive service market. Knowledge in cybersecurity is a plus Strong communication, team player, collaboration mindset, and leadership skills with agile mindset Willingness to travel as needed. Proficiency in English, German is a plus. The role can be located preferably in Switzerland, France, Germany or Italy.
