Your profile

Requirements:

English and German (both written and oral) are essential; another European language is desirable but not essential

Graduate of the Swiss Hospitality Education Sector or similar graduate training

2 plus years of leadership experience in the luxury hospitality/chalet industry dealing with sophisticated and demanding guests and managing teams

High level of knowledge across service, gourmet cuisine and wine

Solid interpersonal and leadership skills – the ability to build relationships with clients and maintain a good working relationship with employees and partners

Strong eye for detail across maintaining a high level of cleanliness, standard of service and administration

Business acumen and intermediate computer skills – Word, Excel, emails, CRM

Ability to problem solve, overcome logistical issues and deal with stressful situations and multiple conflicting matters. A lateral thinker and sound decision-maker under pressure

Resilient and can remain focused and energised during long seasons and back-to-back bookings

Excellent time management and teamwork focus

Knowledge and appreciation of Swiss Alpine Tourism and Zermatt

Understanding of the ski chalet industry and guest expectations

Positive attitude; flexible, energetic and proactive

Smart appearance and well-groomed

Your tasks

The Role:

This unique role requires a well-rounded candidate with a high level of understanding of the luxury chalet (hotel) industry, strong leadership, relationship building and service skills. The role will see you dealing with the world's elite and discerning guests who expect the very best.

Relevant experience is essential.

Main Responsibilities:

Daily leadership and management of the chalet and the professional chalet team of up to 12 professional staff, including high-end chef/s

Co-ordination of the day-to-day operations in the chalet; service, maintenance & housekeeping duties

Lead concierge for guests, preparing for their stay and experience, providing local information and insights, answering queries, assisting with requests and issues and booking activities in and around the resort

Planning and organising exceptional experiences and events for the guests, often putting together bespoke itineraries and experiences, looking to ensure the guests get the most out of their stay.

Ensuring market-leading service standards and the team is operating at the highest level

Collaboration with the chef/s in creating Michelin-style signature menus with matching wines, taking into consideration any special requests, preferences and food requirements of the guests

Managing and meeting guest expectations end to end, from first enquiry through to booking, pre-arrival, during stay, departure and follow up

Manage client purchases, expenses and billing; take end-of-stay guest payments and answer associated queries

Inventory management - stock takes, wine cellar monitoring, re-ordering and chalet inventories

Quickly create rapport with guests with a focus on guest satisfaction and retention React quickly to guests' requests and sales enquiries

Partake in global sales and strategic planning and implementation together with the board of directors

Build strong and meaningful relationships with key partners and agents both in resort and around the world
