Job Description
  • Advisor of CFO and deputy CFO on technical accounting topics and decisions.
  • Global Accounting Leader covering all aspects related to the function. In Charge of defining the accounting Operating Model, Strategy and Transformation plan.
  • Key contributor in the Finance Backoffice team, participates in the strategy and transformation plan definition.
  • Professional and disciplinary leadership of the subordinate employees.
  • Professional and disciplinary leadership of the global accounting function employees including training & development.
  • Responsible for Global Accounting function training and development roadmap.
  • Key stakeholder in the definition of HZI's Shared Service concept and roadmap.
  • Active stakeholder in the group ERP solution design and deployment throughout the group.
  • Responsible for the creation, reporting and analysis of accounting KPIs.
  • Leading the definition, supervision, application and adaption of Hitachi Zosen Inova Group accounting principles. Managing regular exchanges with internal Stakeholders and accounting leaders.
  • In charge of Hitachi Zosen Corporation Group accounting alignments and exchanges.
  • Managing different sets of monthly reporting for all group entities including Hitachi Zosen Corporation Group quarterly and annual group reporting of HZI Group entities, Inova Group reporting according to IFRS, financial statements of Hitachi Zosen Inova entity according to local GAAP.
  • In Charge of the coordination and organization of external financial audits/reviews for Hitachi Zosen Inova AG including its subsidiaries/branch offices and HZI Group consolidation
  • Active stakeholder in the Internal Control System (ICS) definition and implementation
  • Collaborating with Treasury on financing and bank related topics (Financing of capital goods incl. lease)
  • Support Business Units, Sales and Project Development focusing on Finance/ and Finance Administration matters in implementation, monitoring of local set ups and coordination with parent company.
  • Involved in M&A as support of purchase or sales process covering multiple aspects including: purchase price allocation, support of integration process focusing on finance/ administrative matters, support in preparing business plans for acquisitions/joint ventures
Qualifications

Job specific qualification

  • Education in accounting/finance/controlling, Degree in business administration at university/university of applied science.
  • Preferred certified public accountant (CPA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Experience leading Group accounting in an international industrial company.
  • 10+ years of accounting experience with evidence of assuming roles of greater complexity, responsibility and accountability during their career.
  • Experience in setting up and developing local and global accounting and finance structure and function.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex data or scenarios for a variety of audiencess
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills with a proven track record of building effective relationships across functional areas, external partners and functional community.

 

Competence in working methods

  • Good knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, IFS and/or other; finance, controlling module) and Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience in reporting and consolidation tools design and setup. (Tagetik)
  • Fluent in English
  • Good knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Experience in local General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in the countries HZI is present
  • Experience of Project Accounting rules from project Development, Project Execution, Operation and Maintenance and Asset Management is a plus
