The Simulation Engineer is responsible for the development, integration, training preparation and operation (RUN) of the Simulation including all applications used.

Your responsibilities:
  • Acting as single point of contact, especially for suppliers and for customers or their representatives
  • Managing the run of the simulation by following skyguide procedures and maintaining corresponding documents
  • Take over scrum master activities to support agile methods
  • Knowing the operational processes and the interaction of the systems used for the simulation
  • Planning the integration and commissioning of new systems and functions in the simulation
  • Ensuring each incident registered in the simulation is analyzed, and an appropriate correction is provided, and the courses can be carried out (preparation, integration, testing, support)
  • Preparing technical documentation for the simulation
  • Various 1st, 2nd and 3rd level support activities

 

Your profile:
  • 7 years+ practical experience in software development activities
  • Bachelor's degree, master degree or equivalent in an engineering education, ATM knowledge a strong plus.
  • Understanding of the technologies used by the simulation
  • Familiar as an integrator of systems and supporter in a complex IT environment
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills and ability to follow a modern agile approach
  • Team spirit with strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Familiar with shell scripting and software configuration tools
  • Familiar with Service Oriented Architecture, Web services, Enterprise Service Bus, databases and proven experience in virtualized environments
  • Good communication and coordination skills with strong focus on service orientation
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English, good command of German and/or French is a plus
