This works well in the company

One seriously wonders whether this question has ever been asked at the Hirschen Oberkirch - at least of its own staff. The outward appearance may seem flawless: charming ambience, home-style cooking and satisfied guests. But behind the scenes, a completely different reality is revealed. Employees are not valued here, but are ignored, treated badly and kept in a climate of fear. Respect, fairness or a sympathetic ear for problems? Not at all. Instead: Overtime without thanks, a lack of support and a tone that is anything but professional. Those who work hard here are not rewarded, but exploited. As a former employee, I have experienced how quickly you are degraded from a valued team member to an interchangeable resource. Loyalty and commitment are not a one-way street here - and that is exactly what is missing at Hirschen Oberkirch. It may be a nice evening for guests. For the team behind it, it's often a nightmare.

This could be improved

The list could be long, but I will limit myself to the main points that I believe require urgent attention: Employee management and appreciation: A company stands and falls with its team. Clear communication, respect and a fair tone should be the basis of any collaboration. What is lacking here is a management culture based on trust and motivation rather than pressure and control. Working conditions: Overtime is often part and parcel of working in the hospitality industry, but this does not justify disregarding break times or legal requirements. Employees not only need good working conditions, but also time to relax - without fear of consequences. An open ear for criticism: Those who demand improvement must also be able to listen. The exchange between management and team should not only take place when there is a fire. Regular feedback meetings could make a big difference here and noticeably improve the working atmosphere. Promoting talent: Instead of seeing employees merely as "workers", it would be desirable to recognize and promote their potential. Further training, courses or even an honest "thank you" would not only strengthen the team, but also ensure the long-term success of the company.
