Pyronet has the vision to implement the heat revolution. Climate neutrality is not enough for us - we want to generate heat and be climate positive at the same time. We discovered early on that we could achieve this goal with the help of vegetable carbon and also benefit from many positive side effects. That's why we founded Pyronet GmbH in spring 2021, which has since been pursuing the goal of bringing vegetable carbon heating systems to the market. Before founding Pyronet GmbH, all our employees had gained a lot of experience in the field of renewable energies and especially with plant carbon in other companies. We know the market, we know the problems - and we know the solution: PyroFarm. Pyronet is based in Basel-Stadt (Switzerland) and has a strong focus on regionality. On the one hand, this is rooted in the product: Local biomass has the shortest transport routes, thus the least grey energy and the lowest costs. On the other hand, this keeps the climate-damaging footprint of our products as small as possible. Pyronet develops a holistic concept of how climate-positive plant charcoal heating systems can be easily integrated into existing or new buildings. To achieve this, we are not only implementing the logistics concept for fuel and vegetable carbon in addition to the system technology, which is at the heart of our business. The clear balancing of negative emissions by our plants is also central. For only then is it guaranteed that, on the one hand, the CO2 removed from the atmosphere is recognised and, on the other hand, that it is prevented from being lost in the balance or counted more than once.
