This works well in the company

No deduction for food Since the parents pay more you get a 13th monthly wage For the 5th week "vacation" you have to work in advance (it is an overtime reduction)

This could be improved

It is difficult to get support from superiors. They don't seem to care about the needs of the children and staff, the main thing is profit. In the 2 years I worked at Small Foot they never replaced the staff who left but we had more children. The childcare ratio was so tight that we were calculating all day and had to work overtime almost every day until some children went home. I often had to go straight to bed after work. 12-hour shifts were normal. For very poor pay. You can't really look after the children after a shift like that, you're just exhausted.

This works well in the company

Repairs are done very quickly. The wages are poor but normal for the industry.

This could be improved

- Small Foot sets working conditions that are almost impossible to fulfill. There are far too many children in far too few rooms. As a result, the noise level is extremely high. The children cannot immerse themselves in their play and are always distracted, which impairs their learning experience. - The toys are outdated or not up to date educationally. For example, there were no animals to play with, the role play corner was incomplete (no beds for the dolls, only 1 cup, 2 forks, no doctor's things, there was no separation from the rest of the room so the children could not immerse themselves). - We didn't have enough time to change the children carefully. We had to change up to 15 children in 20 minutes so that there was enough time for lunch. This meant that two caregivers had to change the children at the same time in a very small bathroom. This meant that the children's privacy could not be guaranteed. There was also not enough time for the children to help with dressing and undressing. Changing nappies is a very important part of bonding and relationship building. - There were not enough mattresses for the children. Several had to sleep on gym mats which had no bedding. It was not possible for the children to practise falling asleep independently as there was only one bedroom. It was not possible to respond to the different sleeping needs so that several children had to sleep in the baby carriage in the playroom. - The apprentices were not accompanied in their training - there was simply no time for it. - 12-hour shifts are normal at least once a month. 10-hour shifts are normal once a week. I don't recommend working at Small Foot or taking the children to daycare. And I especially advise against starting an apprenticeship at Small Foot. At my location, two apprentices have broken off their apprenticeship at Small Foot.

Only on money au

The nursery is very unprofessional and only aimed at the money. I had the feeling as an employee to be worth nothing and could be moved everywhere (on the cost, more effort blib I sit). I would never work there again or take my child there.
