This works well in the company
I felt comfortable right from the start. Everything was perfect, from the initial contact with an HR manager on the phone to arranging the first appointment and confirmation, etc. The interview itself went very well. Porte was very friendly (it would be better to signpost the parking spaces for visitors) and the interviews with the maintenance and HR managers were also very good and extremely professional. Refreshingly honest and very benevolent. What I like is the safety culture and how much has been invested in the location. In times of mass layoffs and reorganizations at some companies, Dottikon Exclusive Synthesis AG embodies an employer you can trust. I would love to work there. I'm looking forward to the trial period. It all sounds great. There's also supposed to be a new and modern workshop. The company is doing well, which is probably why they have a 42.5-hour week without any advance working time.

I couldn't find the visitor parking spaces right away, even though there are plenty of them. It would have been nice if someone had told me in advance where I could park. But Porte kindly showed me where to park. Other than that, I don't see anything that needs to be changed.

This works well in the company
The application process runs like clockwork, and the reception is very warm.

None at first, the two-stage process was very well organized, and the information about the job was very good. They really make an effort.

This works well in the company
The contact and appointment scheduling by HR in Dottikon were excellent. Everything was well organized, from the friendly doorman greeting me upon arrival to the HR employee picking me up. First impression: Everyone in the building greets you warmly, and the atmosphere is professional. Content of the interview & atmosphere: A company presentation was followed by an interview with the department head. Highly professional, very formal and direct. The radical honesty was particularly positive. The company's approach was clearly communicated: production of highly explosive substances (safety is paramount). 42.5-hour week, focus on performance and on-site presence. Culture of direct communication: mistakes are addressed immediately (sometimes cynically). Short decision-making processes, high level of commitment required. Benefits: The infrastructure is excellent: free parking, a staff restaurant, and even an in-house gas station. Rejection on my part: Although the job was a 100% match with my qualifications, I decided against the offer after the second interview because the corporate culture did not fit my personal expectations. HR responded to my rejection and my open criticism in an extremely confident, appreciative, and professional manner. Conclusion: Dottikon ES plays with its cards on the table. If you are looking for a clear structure, high performance requirements, and a direct environment, this is the place for you. For applicants who prioritize modern flexibility (focus on working from home/flexible working hours), it is rather difficult. A very honest employer—you know exactly what you are getting into.

"You never get a second chance to make a first impression." Rating: "In my opinion, this company has a very idiosyncratic patron culture, which is already clearly noticeable in the recruiting process. I found the job interview extremely disconcerting. As an applicant, you should be prepared for communication characterized by sarcasm, cynicism, and ambivalence. The elitist and aloof style of HR makes it virtually impossible to make a positive first impression. I found the almost anachronistic style of conversation particularly irritating: addressing people in the third person and deliberately sprinkling false information throughout the conversation to seemingly 'test' the applicant seem out of place in this day and age. A modern HR process should be objective and appreciative, rather than provocative. One gets the impression that applicants are not seen here as a potential asset to the company, but as supplicants who should consider themselves lucky to be received at all. In times of skilled labor shortages, however, it is the company's job to present itself as an attractive employer. Selling standard benefits such as 30 days of vacation from the age of 50 or flexitime as exclusive "super features" also seems unrealistic. After the 2.5-hour appointment, I was stunned. In my long professional career, I have never encountered such treatment. I consequently turned down the job. In my experience, anyone who values humanity and modern communication on an equal footing is in the wrong place here."
