Training and further education at Basler is simply 1A!

We are still a bit too conservative in part (business policy), certainly has its advantages, but we have to find a good mediocrity.

There is an open and cordial corporate culture through which one gets the impression to be not only a "cog in the wheel", but a valued and important part of the company. Working in interdisciplinary teams ensures short distances and a good working atmosphere. All team members try to pull in the same direction, no matter which department they belong to. Ongoing efforts are being made to modernize and improve the agility of work practices throughout the company.

Despite these efforts, the idea of incremental and agile work has not yet penetrated all areas of the company. Further efforts are needed here.

For me, Baloise is one of the top companies in Switzerland and a valued employer. I get every support from my superiors as well as from the company itself. Further training is strongly promoted by us, which means that new doors in the company are always open to us. You can actively participate in the company and you are taken seriously. Baloise places great emphasis on work-life balance; it is a very family-based company.

I see potential for improvement above all in outdated IT systems, with the improvement process progressing slowly. Communication between office and field staff is also laborious.

The company is undergoing an enormous change and a lot is being done for the staff. Generally very flat hierarchies.

As with all large companies, much is reduced to the head office, even though the field offices perform equally well.

The overriding future orientation we are striving for is in line with the new customer needs and working environments.

In the concrete implementation of the goals at the level of the teams/areas.

- open communication - short decision paths - good working atmosphere (Concerning the real estate sector)

- Cooperation between the different fields can still be improved
