After the interview was completed, the offer was made to answer questions that arose afterwards. Unfortunately, three attempts at clarification were ignored by the head of HR and the R&D director. If this method of communication also prevailed internally, I would not have felt comfortable in the company.
In addition, in my opinion, travel expenses for applicants should be covered (even if only on a pro-rata basis). This is standard nowadays. Unfortunately, the corresponding request for this was also ignored three times (a total of approx. 800 km plus overnight stay in my case).
The core working hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., which is more or less equivalent to the entire day. Compared to other companies, this long mandatory attendance is completely outdated for management positions.
When I asked during the interview about the possibility of a temporary home office, I received an almost allergic reaction (meaning: "I don't think anything of that").
Otherwise, the atmosphere was pleasant and the interview lasted almost 2 hours. Surprisingly, it was all about getting to know each other personally. No technical knowledge was asked.
After about 2 weeks, I received a standard, impersonal rejection.
Overall, it can be said that Develco should be more modern and communicate more.
